Gustaf Fröding

Sweden, 1860–1911. One of Sweden's best-loved poets, of unmatched musicality; his verse, between folk joy and melancholy, sang of his Värmland province. He spent his last years in a sanatorium. 'Säv, säv, susa' is his most famous ballad. His work is in the public domain.
