Hafez

Persia (Shiraz), c. 1315–1390. The best-loved of the Persian poets and a master of the ghazal; his Divan is a household book and an oracle across the Persian world. 'Hafez' ('one who has memorised the Quran') was his pen name. His work is in the public domain.
