Judah Halevi

Sepharad (Tudela–Toledo), c. 1075–1141. The greatest Hebrew poet of the Golden Age of al-Andalus, a physician and philosopher (author of the Kuzari); his 'songs of Zion' voice the longing for Jerusalem. He died on the way to the Holy Land. His work is in the public domain.
