Rabindranath Tagore

India (Bengal), 1861–1941. A Bengali poet, composer and polymath, the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature (1913) for Gitanjali; he wrote the national anthems of India and Bangladesh. 'Where the mind is without fear' is his most quoted poem. His work is in the public domain.
